This FertiGuide application is created & operated by Merck Serono Middle East FZ-LTD. By installing the application, you are providing consent to this Privacy Statement.
As the resources we provide on this application is legally restricted to those who are using at least one Merck product, we require you to register and log-in. This will allow you to enable your patients to access the application (by sending them their unique access code) – and to track their data to better support them in the treatment journey.
In order to Sign Up, The application then stores your name, email address, year of birth.
This application is intended to provide you with resources and features to support you throughout your treatment journey. For doing this, it will store:

- We use TrueDepth API technologies (ARKit, with automatic estimation of the real-world directional lighting environment) to identify any Merck fertility products pointed towards the camera. The only use of this information is to provide valuable user features. None of the information collected by the TrueDepth API ever leaves the user's device. We do not share information with third parties, do not store or process in any other way the data which we accessed and used via TrueDepth API. This application uses Google Analytics (a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. to store analytical cookies on your device). This means that technical information about the application usage is transmitted to Google. It will not be merged with other Google data.
The purpose of using Google Analytics is to improve the technical platform of the application. The following information is captured through Google Analytics anonymously (without the identity of the user):
The application itself also collects data regarding traffic in the application and the available resources (Videos and Articles). This is for the purpose of keeping the posted information meaningful & interesting to the users.
The application doesn't collect any browsing history, or any other activities you are doing on your phone. It doesn’t install cookies, doesn’t track your location, doesn’t interact with any of the other mobile features e.g. photos, and doesn’t install any cookies.
Servers for this application are located in UAE. Personal data is not transferred out of UAE.
We partner with service providers who support us to develop and support this application. The reason is that applications require technical support and administration which is a task that cannot be done by Meck’s technology team. As stated above, Merck doesn’t have access to your personal data. These service providers process data only in accordance with the instructions and under the control of Merck and exclusively for the purposes described in this privacy policy.
We store data for as long as necessary for the provision of the service to you. Your data will remain in the application unless you request it to be deleted.
You can request information about the data stored about you and have the right to receive the data provided by you in a common and machine-readable format. Furthermore, in justified cases, you may also request the deletion, correction or limitation of the processing of your data.
You can contact your nurse requesting to deactivate and/or delete your data. The nurse will contact Merck’s team for the account to be deactivated and/or data to be deleted.
